Banana nut bread

I got this recipe from the bread queen in my old ward, Cindy Ray.
I make this bread often and I always have requests for the recipe.

Banana nut bread and what Hanna likes to wear in the winter (her swim suit.)
Cream:
1&1/2 cups sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 cup mashed browned banana's
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 c. buttermilk
in a separate bowl mix:
2c. flour
1&1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Gently mix the dry ingredients with the wet and pour in a well greased loaf pan.
Bake on 275 for 1&1/2 hours.
You can also add chocolate chips to make it just that much yummier!

Joyce's salsa

I also made this fruit salsa that is a family favorite.
I make mine a little healthier then Joyce and it tastes just as delicious:)

Fruit salsa:

Chop and Mix equal parts of:
Apple
Kiwi and
Strawberries
Then zest and juice an orange into the fruit. Give it a good whirl and serve with cinnamon sugar tortilla chips or cinnamon pita chips.

Salsa

I hosted our little cooking group the other day and decided to share some salsa recipies.
This is one that James got from one of his old lab partners at ASU, Arturo.

Salsa:

1 can diced tomatoes (drained)
1Tb. Garlic salt
1&1/2 Tb. Chicken bouillon
1/2 onion
3 tomatoes, boiled until skins split
1 Jalapeno(de seeded) or 3 serrano peppers( I prefer the Serrano), boil with the tomatoes until softened
2tsp. Minced garlic
1/2 bunch of cilantro
Juice 1 lime
Give all ingredients a whirl in the food processor or just chop them up and have it pico de gallo style!
Enjoy
